Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze merchandise inventory management at PT Pusaka Agro Tani. The background of this research lies in the company's efforts to maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand, avoid overstocks or stockouts, and prevent delays in product delivery. A qualitative descriptive approach was used, with data collection through interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis process involved collecting primary and secondary data, processing the data, and drawing conclusions based on the findings. The results indicate that the application of the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method suggests the company should place orders five times per year, with each order consisting of 700 bottles or 7 cartons of AmistarTop 50 ml. In contrast, the company's current policy is to place orders seven times. Furthermore, the company has not established a safety stock level, although calculations indicate that 540 bottles should be maintained as safety stock. Similarly, the reorder point should be set at 870 bottles to ensure timely replenishment.
