The Influence of Chemical Usage On The Smoothness of Room Attendants Performance at Hotel Gran Puri Manado

Abstract

This study thoroughly identifies the influence of cleaning product (chemical) usage on the smooth performance of Room Attendants at Gran Puri Manado. In the competitive hospitality industry, the efficiency and quality of Room Attendants' work are crucial determinants of guest satisfaction. The improper selection and application of chemicals can hinder productivity and even pose a risk of furniture damage.Utilizing a qualitative approach, this research aims to explore the perspectives, experiences, and challenges faced by Room Attendants concerning their interaction with various types of chemicals in their daily tasks. Data was collected through in-depth interviews and direct field observations. The research findings are expected to contribute significantly to the development of more effective and safer Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and to serve as a foundation for relevant training programs. The practical implications of this study include increased operational efficiency, reduced furniture damage, and ultimately, enhanced service quality at Gran Puri Manado.
