This study examines the problem of non-performing loans (NPL) at PT. Bank Prisma Dana Manado, a regional financial institution that plays a significant role in financing the productive sector. The primary objectives of the study were to analyze the factors causing non-performing loans, evaluate the effectiveness of customer credit assessments, and identify solutions implemented to resolve non-performing loans. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection methods consisting of in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation with five informants in the bank's credit division. The results indicate that non-performing loans at PT. Bank Prisma Dana Manado are caused by a combination of internal factors, such as civil servant indiscipline, and external factors, such as late disbursement of allowances and unannounced transfers. In the credit assessment process, the bank tends to emphasize the analysis of fixed civil servant allowances (the "Capacity" aspect) and the results of the Financial Services Authority's (OJK) SLIK (Standard Service) system (SLIK), but has not yet fully implemented the 5C principles comprehensively. Strategies for handling non-performing loans include direct collection, collaboration with relevant agencies (MoUs), and internal credit restructuring.
