Abstract

This study aims to analyze the alignment between production planning and actual production in
supporting the efficiency of coconut cream production at PT Sasa Inti Minahasa Selatan. The research
focuses on four aspects: (1) production planning, (2) actual production, (3) factors causing discrepancies
between planning and realization, and (4) the effectiveness of production control systems in addressing
such discrepancies. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through
interviews, observations, and documentation. Five informants were involved, consisting of
representatives from the PPIC Division, QC Division, Production Administration, and Raw Material
Logistics. The findings indicate that discrepancies occurred between planned and actual production due
to delays in raw materials, machine breakdowns, and workforce discipline issues. These discrepancies
reduced efficiency in terms of time utilization, raw material management, and achieving daily output
targets. Based on these results, the study suggests that the company should enhance the accuracy of
production planning, strengthen coordination among divisions, and improve production control systems
to achieve higher operational efficiency
